Concept and ObjectivesGeo Challenge is an adventure race which takes into the concept of long endurance race combined with the focus of team aspects. It is a sport fast gaining acceptance throughout the world with colourful roster of athlete representing countries from all over the world. | DisciplinesThe Race will be conducted in multiple stages with a total distance approximately ranging from 100 km to 300 km. The Teams will have to undergo various challenges on different legs of the race. |
The CourseThe Inaugural Geo Challenge will be held in Johor on May 2007. Geo Challenge "green" approach focuses on improved environmental awareness and performance and setting up new environmentally-friendly structures for future usage. | Rules and RegulationThe Race is a non-stop long distance event lasting from 3 to 5 days. Teams are required to be co-ed. Each team is required to start and complete with a set of four members. Any team which loses a member will be automatically disqualified. Outside assistance from designated members is allowed at designated transition areas (assistance from competing teams is generally permitted at all times). |
